Hey! I'm liking those otters, nice linework! I think your color work could benefit from trying not so much "color your linework", but rather starting to apply value and color to your canvas as a whole. First very loosely, and adding detail and more controlled edges as you go. Maybe make some color studies loosely referenced from photographs, without any line drawing first, and see how that goes? Maybe check out some Feng Zhu videos from youtube if you need tips on the process.
Anyway keep working on it, and you'll get better. Good luck!

Keep it going! you'll get better when you practice more often, ( easier said then done haven't being practising the time i was hoping to do) but anyway keep the paintings coming and look more to how you paint metal for the armor plates and such!

    See my latest Sketchbook work!

Good to see you attacking the Loomis! Some really interesting pieces in your thread, especially your colour pieces from Feb 19th - 20th.

Cool character designs too. If you wanted to tighten them up I'd suggest giving them a little more attitude. The knight could hold the sword more authoritatively and maybe switch the pose so it's not so symmetrical. Just have him leaning more on one leg would add so much, and bending his non-sword arm would make it feel less wooden.

Likewise with the Squire. If you were to bend his knees slightly and have him leaning slightly forward, it would really add to the sense of weight - he's carrying all that stuff and it would make him feel more like someone who's accustomed to carrying those kinds of loads.

    Hope this helps!
