    XooN from zero to hero

    Hi everyone,

I'm XooN, a 17 year old highschool student from germany, who wants to become a better (concept-)artist and illustrator.
Busting through the industries door and leaving my tag on a couple of projects in the future are the main goals for me.
The bars has been set high, so I and my artskills need to grow even higher.

    Hey
Immediately liked the thread thumbnail. Awesome composition, values and use of color. I'm a sucker for pieces with a mood.
Eager to see more of your work.

    Good start to it.
Try pushing the contrast more and use atmospheric perspective (closer to the viewer - the more contrast objects get), because all the ice formations have virtually the same values. And a good thing to remember: warm light - cool shadow; cool light - warm shadow.
Did a quick mouse lasso-tool editing, if you don't mind.

The first piece was really nice, but the others need some more work i think.

The last one is also a nice one, but maybe you should extend the light onto the stairs to make it more interesting, just a suggestion.

    but anyway! keep it going!
    cheers!

    See my latest Sketchbook work!
