    Lale's Sketchbook and other attempts

Hey guys! I've been around for a little while now, getting very much inspired by all of you out here, and finally decided to participate too! So I'll be posting my sketches, WiPS and more here and will try to do so on a weekly basis. I'm looking for advice and constructive critiscism (especially on WIPS) so any help is welcome! Now let's get started.. Hopefully I'll see some improvement over time!

Here's my Deviant Art if anyone's interested: http://laleann.deviantart.com/

Welcome, this is a great start, I really like the lines on the giraffe and the rendering on the last one. Keep posting

    Hey!

Great start. I know you already from CrimsonDaggers, but haven't commented on your stuff yet.
So here's a point that dropped into my eye at your figures.
Make sure the balance is right.
A few figures look like they would fall over or behing every second.
Look into Loomis and Bridgman (for example, there are also other great anatomy books) to see what they explain considering the balance of the masses.

    Keep it up!

Thank you guys!! Well Nemome, I see what you you mean, especially on the last one. I'm actually reviewing my basics at the moment and, of course, reading Loomis! Hope my balance will look better after that! I know my weaknesses but no one had ever pointed that out, ouch! I'll keep an eye on that! Thanks again!

Here's tonight's study. Wanted to focus on capes/floating clothes.. Not entirely finished yet but I already learned a few things with this one. More to come
