Had to repost it since the posting on this site seems to be delayed/messed up for me. The old post SHOULD be deleted.
EDIT: Okay, something is seriously wrong here. The only reason I reposted this, yet again, was because my original post disappeared, but now it's back (along with the one before it.) I'll attempt to delete the previous two as to not clutter-up the thread.
second edit: they seem to reappear every time I re-visit the site, even after I delete them..

Eleventh hour submission, not the most alien birds ever, heh. Was a nice change of pace to do some though.

Aves Sapiens: This species learned to walk, while loosing its flyingabillity. It's highly intelligent, but for some reason also extremely lazy. So it developed a breeding device. (i-breed... it's funny in german... trust me!)

Aves Fetus: Well... Aves Sapiens also did some experiments with the thyroid of another birdlike species inhabiting the Birdyplanet. And... It didn't go to well.

Aves Guttorovus: Throughout evolution this animal developed a breedingsack at his throat, so it is able to skip the time of nesting, in which it would be very vulnerable, by carrying the egg around while giving it warmth and because of the permeable nature of the thin shell also nutrients. The male Aves Guttorovus got breedingsacks too but they're rudimentary and are used for mating competitions. The females comb is smaller than the males and the female got stretchable mouth corners in order to be able to swallow and regurgitate its breed.

So many wonderful entries. Today is the last day to get submissions in!

I will try to do the usual stream thing tomorrow. Hopefully people stop by, because I will surely need help deciding which designs to feature.

Was going to do more and fix them up, but I have enough art school work as it is. So here is what I have for this submission.

Ok, ok, I know you're going to say that they're all water creatures instead of birds, but a lot of pokémon have mixed types so that's like the legal loophole I can abuse, right, right?

PS I had a new chalk-y brush I wanted to try, so I got a little carried away. Don't hate
