    The DMV *sigh*

Is there ever such a thing as a dignified DMV visit?

Only if you blast them with mega guns and offer them a coffee.

10 AM is the only hour I'll visit. You miss the early bird pile up, the lunch pile up and the after work pile up. But your an artist. They give you a clipboard and a pen and free time and a crowd of models. Do the math.

The last time I was there you had to pay for the pen if you didn't bring your own... They even had a pen vending machine. With a line.

The last time I went, I was there 15 mins before it opened at 7. I was there for 4 hours. But there is a fancy one not to far from me that texts you when your turn is in the next 15 mins, that way you can go home and hang out for an hour or so then go back, which is awesome I think.

I learned with both the DMV and airport not to try to beat the crowd. It's a popular mistake, sure to backfire.

I have heard horror stories about this "DMV" of legend. What exactly happens there? Sacrificial rites involving clipboards??
