Finally decided to start a sketchbook to track my progress. My name is Alexander sedig, I'm 20 years old and I hope this sketchbook may act both as a resource for constructive feedback, and as a personal incentive to draw and continue drawing.
Wish me luck, and I welcome you to watch my progress, and contribute to it. Thank you

Woke up early this morning with a coffee and have been drawing since, Still Practicing faces, Im really determined to figure this out and be able to draw them from imagination. Ive been looking at sinix sketchbook; Its been a discouraging/encouraging experience, and some of its influence might be visable here.
I'm not very fond of my own work, yet I know I can get better and need to get better. Feed back is appreciated!
Decided to end todays work with a digital painting. I don't really paint often and am still pretty new to it aswell as using photoshop. heres what I came up with, from imagination. I think I should try to do more of these

I love what you are doing, you have a great, expressive style that is only going to get better and better. I've been studying the Loomis method of anatomy, and drawing from imagination, via the digital books available online, and also found this website very helpful. http://www.proko.com
Thanks for the kind words Marlene, and Ill look into that site. I still need to work alot on anatomy but its always been hard to grasp for me, Im starting to get it a bit though : O Ive been looking into the art departments entertainment 2d design program, Wondering if I should try going to school there, I dont know much about it yet tho.
Heres some more.
Some tribal looking buildings from imagination
playing with different shapes for buildings, imagination.

Really beautiful drawings, all these last ones. I think The Art Dept would be a great place for you. I am familiar with some of the teachers there through an online program called Visual Learning Program, not sure if that one is still running. Anyway they are great artists, great teachers and great people.
Really like your pen portrait sketches Rakno, such a definite use of line. Faces are your strong point for sure but I can sense you're maybe not as confident with bodies and poses. I'll keep checking back on this thread, looking forward to more!
I'm no expert but I don't think you will have any problems getting accepted to any art school. This stuff I see here shows raw talent, sensitivity, and a good strong desire to keep making art and work hard at it. Which is the most important thing anyways, the desire (or obsession, if you will) to work hard to get good at making art. All the great artists work hard at it, it doesn't just come flicking off their fingers like it was nothing! Although sometimes you do get in the zone.....
