I am a graphic Designer working in advertising, looking to move into illustration.
Going to start this post of with a collection of some older & more current pieces which range from sketches to finished pieces.
I do most of my work digitally but still keep a few pencil sketchbooks going and I dabble in oils whenever I get the chance
I'm looking to impove and experiment as much as possible. Any helpfull tips very welcome.
Thanks in advance for looking.

A mix of sketches and concept work. Some of these are being developed a little further.
Some personal work from end of 2012
These are from my bedside sketchbook. Each night I try and do a few before lights out. About 2-5 min each.
A mix of studies, concepts & style explorations
Really like the way you set your faces sketches up, definitely a method I use.
Landscape lighting sketch. PS.
Experimenting with a more traditional feel while pushing the colors.
Trying out some different styles. Some comic stuff. Getting ready for my new project.
Hiya ty for the feedback So many styles out there and things to paint... exploring all those wonderful techniques is part of the joy I get from being creative. Just wish I had MORE TIME
I keep a digital sketchbook at work which I add to daily. Usually anatomy stuff and quick creature sketches. These are some from this week. Deadline week for me so I do not get to play as much as I would like.
Some landscape sketches from this week. This is my color practice for oil painting. Breaking the piece into color groups and then color temperature and finally into relative values. I keep it very simple...5min no more and only 1-2 brushes.
Some sketches from a series of studies I did for an illustration I'm working on. Was looking for a strong action line and power in the figure.
Some digi sketches from this morning
Some sketches from this morning
Little update on my gundam sketch. Just playing with some color. Not really sure how I want to render it...
Was too tired to do any real painting tonight. Ended up having a ton of fun with this instead
Another little doodle from this morning. Fun stuff
Started as a quick sketch from yesterday and worked on it a little more during lunch today. nomnomnom
Fun piece from tonight. Just a little bit of stress relief...
Little sketch from this morning. Still needs work but not really worth the time

Just some sketches from tonight aimed at increasing my visual library. Exploring different shapes & details. 5+min each.
Some life drawing from this week. Quick 2min gestures and some longer 15-20min poses. Quite rusty with life studies but so much fun and so rewarding.
I really like your work on February 1 2013. I dig the style and the colors you used are awesome.
Thanks for the feedback Lanot Do you have any work here? I tried looking up your profile but could not find anything.
Study from Photo, trying for a more natural brush feel. Used 2 brushes, default hard round and a chalky.
Demon Speedy from this morning.
