    Baby Steps...

Hi everyone. My name is Alexis De La Torre and i am 16 yo. in just 2 years i'll start university and i dont know what i i'll study, so i just want to start a sketchbook with my practices and stuff because i want to see if i have what it takes to be an artist.
i downloaded some loomis books to get started and will be drawing everyday. i hope that all you can give me some criticism and advice on my work and i could potentially improve.

i am mexican, so my main lenguaje isn't english so excuse me for have so many mistakes i am practicing english here, so i will practice two things at once posting here :)

Hi Alxs24. Welcome to the forum. I think you are on the right track with Loomis. With every drawing you make you will improve. On a personal note: I really love those monsters (you know, with the tv and the mushrooms). Guess that is not Loomis :-)

@rottjers: thank you, these aren't loomis, is just my crazy imagination :p

i have not posting lately because i was studing how the muscles and bones work and the anatomy of the human body.
i think that i will not continue reading drawing books until i realy know how things work, these tends to focus more in simplified shapes than anyelse, but the good side here is that i found my metod to learn, working from the bones and adding layers understanding how each bone and muscle work.
the anatomy studies are so messy that i will not post them but there is some gesture drawings.
