    My acrylic painting

Long time since I post anything in here, wanted to show the last painting I am doing.

The most finished part is the tangerine, the garlic is almost a scketch for now, I don't want to overdo the painting too much, I think I'm going to focus the attention on the tengerine and the garlic.

    Everyone is wellcome to criticize.

I've painted another layer over the paper and a specific place of the background, it may not look like it, but it took some hours.

Wonder if I'm overdoing some areas already.

well.... the second pic seems better than the first one, but I am not sure if is because the photography or because your work (the second one seems to be shoot longer than the first).

a good work, keep posting your jobs.

Looks really nice. I like the lightning, and details on the tangerine.

I would just call it finished, and jump into another painting.

the lighting seems to be all over the place. the left side of the place mat on top has lighting the right has little that would suggest the light come left to right , yet the shadows of the objects suggest the light from back to front .

I wouldn't care that much about 100% accurate lightning in still life painted from nature. Through the day period lightning is changing all the time. To paint it perfectly you would have to either make a photo and finish your picture by copying it, or construct correct lightning from your memory. It can be done of course- if someone wants to, but it missing the point of painting from nature.

There's always a possibility to polish picture more, but i think current state is just fine. Maybe garlic could be slightly more detailed. It looks kinda unnoticed compared to the tangerine which is the very center of attention on these picture.

your right ,just for me stronger lighting creates a mood, also direction of the light ,in this case there's side ,back and a bit of front lighting
