thanks for looking over my sketchbook and the nice words - you have made some substantial progress since you began - post #62 really shows confidence , when it comes to the shadow pattern - I feel that your colors are quite good. Would like to see some value studies from you where you study the form in greyscale.

post #70 might benefit from a studying the shadow pattern alittle more thightly - this help me in the sketching phase to establish the shadow pattern http://www.freshdesigner.com/how-to-...uct-the-limbs/

    hope this helped

My friend Rostas and me decided to make an environment or a character every day, so today's theme is a terrifying environment. This is mine, not so terrifying as it sounds (in my mind a desert is a place of death).

You're getting better and better, it is visible from all the studies you've been doing, great!
I particularly like post 42, it is a good study. Good values, good forms, anatomy and edges.

I'd suggest working more on edges in the future: soft vs hard edges. Try combining the
hard round brush with the soft brush in your work.

    Keep getting better!

ps. te-am vazut in grupul de conceptART de pe facebook si te-am adaugat.

Today's theme is a character from cartoon.
My main idea was to create a new superhero, style marvel. Enjoy!

I'm not quite sure, but there seems to be something wrong with this last character's pose.
I think it may be the shoulders, and the right arm pit. Try flipping and see if there ain't anything wrong worth correcting.

You love painting animals as much as monsters!
Your work is getting better. You're clearly more comfortable with digital too. I like the traditionally drawn monster from 24 March the most though. :3
About the last character's pose, I think it's because you can't tell the direction of the arm. Try different foreshortening? I also think the head is a tad too small, but don't hold that against me! Still learning that stuff myself.

Wow Nika great Improvement! Just remember to keep on reducing the lines between shapes and with skin when it is well lit, the dark lines you see between skin folds are very chromatic. Try not to use too many dull browns in those folds, try to use some bright oranges or reds. what a jump!
I cant seem to view your last posts is that happening to you as well?

Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook! I like your pen studies of animals a lot. You've shown a lot of improvement regarding form since the first page. I think you should work on using bigger brushes in your digital work (it's a problem I have, too!). You tend to create tons of unnecessary texture/detail, and it takes the focus away from what you want the audience to look at.
Check out my sketchbook! Socially acceptable opportunity to yell at a teenage girl!

Really love your animal drawings, your lines shows your confidence with this. The enviroments are looking way to round, with this you should trying (when you are working from mind) to overlay some photos then play a little bit with blending modes to get something totally abstract from whichyou have a good base. From that point its like looking in the clouds and interpreting shapes.
