It's difficult. On the one hand, you are told to get better faster do studies, this and that. On the other hand, if you do not enjoy doing them, you'll only half apply yourself and get bored or worse, loose your motivation all together. I think, mix it up. I need to do studies and read lots more than I do, but, I make sure I do something all the time, when tired I doodle and draw my favourite subjects. When I've time and am focussed I tackle the difficult theoretical stuff, anatomy, values, colour etc. If I can't do anything I watch livestreams / youtube. And when I don't know what to do, I stalk peoples sketchbooks, twitter and facebook for inspiration and direction.

The only fact and 100% certainty is, you cannot give up! The only way to improve is to work.

Anyway, your sketchbook is showing great signs of progress and dedication. Try looking at Kingkostas's sketchbook, he is a machine and focusses on technique, experimentation, especially with values, edges and form.

Here are a couple of videos I want you to watch, the first I was shown to help me understand why I was getting frustrated with my own lack of progress. The second one is to help with constructing the face and features. I hope they help.

I really like the faces in post 47 and congrats with the lara croft deviantart entry, she is really well done and the composition is excellent, loving the light on the tigers. Incidentally, where did you get the idea for post 34?

    Take care. -.-

Dayle Thanks for you psychological support. It feels kind of good to have someone back you up and motivate you even the tiniest bit when you are in a rough patch. About post 34 -- the main idea was to capture the wolf's spirit in a dynamic posture.

No problem! Good luck and keep up the hard work. Just google "dark souls wolf boss" and you'll see why I asked.

Dayle thx for your support. Actually your suggestion "dark souls wolf boss" inspired me to create a artwork for a fantasy game. Check on http://crimsondaggers.com/forum/thread-3413.html

    hi Azsha

i like supernatural creatures and imagination here.
    Colors are pretty harmonious

    if u want some critics:
last post: her head is a bit small, head color are muted compared to the rest

in overall: perhaps you should spend more time on construction, proportions checking (and rechecking)

ps: your linwork in your sketchbook are very loose

zou thanks for checking out my work! I appreciate it. I have horrific proportion issues, I'm trying to correct this though.
