I thought you might have left us already. The headphones still life is nice and a big improvement, but you might want to work on your edges a bit.

Yeah, I'm not out of the game by a long shot. I just have classes and stuff I need to work in... >

Had some free time to make this one. Not the greatest, but I am proud of it.

First of all, I'm in roughly the same boat as you. Recently turned twenty, working a small job, and trying to make improvements on my own time. Granted I haven't made a sketchbook yet, but I plan to in the near future. The laid back attitude in your posts and sketches is nice. A good sense of humor helps as you plug away at improving art skills.

I want to mention that you have two things in here that I like so far: the head phone study and the painting of the girl on the floating fruit. They show a nice balance between improvement and ambition. Personally I think that it's good to spice up traditional studies with the occasional ambitious piece. It keeps things interesting and reminds you of where you want to go.

    Keep up the good work!

    Hey thanks for the input!
Also there is no better time than now to start, so make a sketchbook tonight! It doesn't have to be perfect or even close to professional but a sketchbook is just something to put work into and see the results of your time.
Not to sound pushy but DO IT NOW MAN!

Try get your line in order, they're very sketchy. Gestures are looking pretty decent. Keep doing studies and stuff, and you'll get there.
For lines, I recommend this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wgDNDOKnArk
That's what's helping me, just do a sheet of these every day for warm-up and in no time, you'll improve your lines and curves
