What brushes do you use for oils?

I realize someone else made a thread here in the lounge about supplies, but that talked mostly about brands of paint.

I'm asking which brand and model of brushes do you like to use? I'm all set for paint, but I'm at a loss on brushes. I went to some art stores and asked which are the best quality and they all basically told me "all our products are good quality." I said they can go fuck themselves and I left. :btu: Not really, but I just left.

I have a lot of sable brushes, but they are just random and I need some flats anyway.

If you take care of them, i.e. cleaning after every use with a nice brush cleaner like B&J, any brushes will do.

I like to go with the mid-range synthetic brushes as I think they have a bit more spring and they are a little less prone to loose and errant hairs than the sables. Plus they tend to be a little cheaper.

As far as brands go I've got everything from the no-name brand "Daniel Smith" to the higher-end Winsor Newton stuff and they're all working about the same.

Of course, some claim the synthetics to be prone to melting in some mineral spirits/ turpentine but I haven't had any issues yet.
