*damn... second time I realise that there's another sketchbook with the same name as mine... might as well just pick the most generic name possible then
Finally decided to start a sketchbook here, even though iíve been visiting the site regularly for some time now. My name is Nikolaj and Iím 16 years old. I started taking drawing more seriously a year ago, but have not progressed much probably because of what I draw (I should be doing more studies, instead of sketching whatever I feel like). Anyways, Iím willing to put some hard work and dedication into this, but itíll take my nowhere without the right guidance so I was hoping some of you would be willing to help me out
I wasnít quite sure where to start so I figured that Iíd upload some sketches from dec 2011, earlier this year and then some sketches with one month intervals leading up to now
Dec 2011/Jan 2012
(Sorry for the large image sizes and the poor quality, still new to this, but i'll get it fixed.)

(after editing my post a million times, i'm finally somewhat satisfied with the image sizes, let me know if they're still too large.)
Some studies from August
Newer sketches from December 2012

Here's a sketch from 2013 - Probably going to upload some more later today or tomorrow. Crits appreciated
Was hoping that my sketchbook would allow me to see my improvements and encourage me to work even harder, unfortunately itís quite the opposite.. :/ , I guess Iíll just have to work even harder then!
(Nevertheless, I can definitely see that I need to be more structured and not just doodle whatever I feel like.)
Pages from late dec and early January
A few pathetic attempts, from today, at drawing from life
Tried doing some more still life studies today, as well as drawing faces with a reference.
I saw a few improvements, but I did also spend approx 5 min longer on the second one (around 20 min in total)
Tried to render an egg from an image, not too happy with the result tho. That also goes for the still-life drawings which both seem a bit too sloppy to me.
Here's a sketch I found from late december. One of the first tries at rendering with a marker, and it turned out alright. + some studies from last week as well
Tried to do a few still lifes today, and I think I'm seeing some few improvements in proportions and rendering. Image quality is pretty bad though so it might not be visible. Tried to open my Loomis book once again and take a second look at the pages covering faces since I definitely need to work on that some more. Some guidance would be very appreciated, since I'm still quite unsure of how approach it and what to cover first.
Didn't draw as much as I would have liked to this weekend:
Here's a few sketches from this week, as well as some posemaniacs tries... needless to say I quickly realised that I need a basic grasp of human anatomy before doing these kinds of studies.
And here's a couple of older sketches I did on my Ipad as well as a recent one from Friday.
