Marvel's The Thing (Angrir Breaker of Soul ver post#37)

Here's my second attempt of full figure sculpting. Stand around 10inch without the based. Still a work in progress

This is shaping out really well! Is it going to be used in an animation?

Really really like him! I wonder if you should have cut IN the rocks, instead of building OUT. He got bulky and hid your wonderful anatomy!
Bonus points for making the shorts bumpy! In HS we had a discussion once about why aren't his shorts bumpy from the rocks on his butt! LOL!

www.findphil.com for a look at my older stuff

And finally, http://www.here-there-be-monsters.net/ is the place to be if you want to buy some of my work that has been kitted by the talented hand of Dave.

Thanks philofmars.. I wanted it to be as rocky as possible for this version.. the second version I'm doing now the skin is curve out, so it will be a much more cleaner looking Thing.. =)

anyway here's some update for the head.

The base is fantastic.. I have no idea how you got it so smooth. Your anatomy is good too, but go for a more dynamic pose next time! Make him super-heroic!

Warning! Drinking lots of beer can impair your senses. Please do so before you view my sketchbook!

The Hammer of Angrir fell to Earth after the Serpent called a series of hammers to awaken the Worthy. It crashed on Yancy Street, the old neighborhood of Ben Grimm. In the middle of examining it, Reed Richards asks the Thing to try and lift it, resulting in his transformation into Angrir, Breaker of Souls. Shortly after picking it up, he destroys the surrounding area with the hammer.

Here's my latest WIP. Angrir the Breaker of Soul fron Fear Itself comic book story line.
    crits and comment are welcome..
