    dont mind that painting, its not hurting my eyes or anything. i like her hand. seems cropped a bit tight.

    yeah I cropped it and chopped some of the arm because the canvas was lopsided.

    I think that this is one of your more succesful paintings. The colour scheme is well composed. The black outlines flattens the image somewhat.

    thanks! I am trying to work on creating depth. I know contrast is big and atmospheric perspective is good. Are there any other rules i can go by other than blurring the back ground with soft edges. Ya'll know how I do. I make that High Art...you got to be high to appreciate (even though ive been sober for a year)

    buy some taschen books of Cezanne and VanGogh second hand and study them long and hard, would be my advice. theyll tell you what to do more efficiently (and infinitely more knowledgably) than i can.
