Wow, thanks for the love, peeps, I really appreciate it.

This is just a minor update to say I'm not dead, just spending time dealing with / researching other crap right now (acne sucks, HURRGHBLHBPH. Those of you w/ clear skin are insanely lucky, you porcelain-faced bastards). I haven't had time recently to work on art. I spent plenty of time earlier in December studying (architecture, freehand perspective, light and shadow, reintroducing myself to 3D modeling), but didn't output much. I'm also still dealing with hand crap. It's not bad, but there's a chance it might not be a tendon problem at all--more like a nerve problem, gulp. I'll see how that progresses. I won't be posting for a while yet, but I WILL RETURN SOMEDAY BLEEEHHGH. Everyone, keep grinding!

Some doodles from a while ago.

Wow, thanks so much for dropping by my sketchbook. I admire your anatomy-skills so much and I love your designs.
It's really an honor to have your opinion in my puny sketchbook.

Heeey!! Thanks for the visit. Good to know you're still among the living! And, man! If I could I'd help you murder acne! MURDERRRRRRRRR! If only...

Good to know it's not a tendon thing. Here's hoping whatever it is has an easy remedy

These are pretty awesome sketches. You have very good line form and good pencil control. I love your art style especially. I find them very interesting.

Thanks for stopping by my sketchbook. Your gestures are showing more emotion now. I need to do those more… I hate doing them.

ecki: danke, mang. My anatomy skills when you commented on them were better than they are now, I'm sorry to say.

    Minella: thank you muchly

Niquey: hello from the future. The TMI thing I mentioned is temporarily murdered, yes. Thank you for contributing murdering vibes from afar, missus

    JuliaMetzger: danke!

    toshi13go: どうも,ね?

Buxu: man, the lines are the result of incredible tedium and Ctrl+Z, over and over and over. I dunno how comics inkers do this. I don't think I could ever get good enough at it for it to be practical.

    vezun: bangin' recommencing, thank you

    ice coffee: gracias

    aks9: shh, shh ... I'm here now.

pindurski: gestures, where? :p I haven't done gestures in over a year. Thanks, though

    -------

Oops, accidentally jumped into a time machine six months into the future. I was going to do a whole writeup, but basically: 1) subdivision modeling is hard as fuck, 2) I miss drawing, and 3) I'm really rusty.

Hey hey! Welcome back! Good to see some art from you again. I trust the IRLs have settled satisfactorily.

Art-wise, I love the stark contrast between styles on these! Wow. Skill. .....Rusty as a hot-off-the-shelf Mercedes Benz....

Niquey: Yo yo. Well, maybe I'm rustier on paper vs. digital. I look back at some of my pencil drawings from last year and feel massive envy. I can't do that anymore. Kinda strange?

Work in progress. One of these days I'll learn to paint (yeah right)

Your figures aren't too shabby either! That cleaned up version looks pretty good. One thing strikes my as odd though. On the side quad your line is curving down making it look like she has HUGE hamstrings... if you curved it up it would better reflect the muscle group. I like the tummy bulge... looks organic and believable. Nice work.

    YangDaniel027: thanks
    aks9: thanks
pindurski: thanks, are you talking about the line where the iliotibial tract should be? That's what I was going for w/ that, not trying to define the quads. But I forgot a lot of leg anatomy, haven't studied it since this time last year.
    iven: thanks
Mukkled: thanks. I wish this SB reflected two years of work, but I've taken a lot of breaks, haven't improved nearly as much as I should have in all this time.

You're kidding, right? Cause you have improved like crazy! The last batch is particularly good: rad compositions, nice persp and anatomy, gorgeous colors, and I love how crisp and clean this looks. Keep it up!

    FROZ3N: ty, man

Alex DL: merci! It's incremental improvement, but I'm not nearly as good as I would be if I'd kept this up instead of effectively stopping at the beginning of 2014, and kinda-sorta picking it up a couple weeks ago. That's all I meant. I'm kind of at a crossroads, trying to decide if I really want to devote more time to this or focus on something else. I'll always do it for fun now and then, but I'm not sure it's for me, I'm not sure I'm doing it for the right reasons, etc. Whine whine whine

    pindurski: fine, I will!

    fantasyartist: shucks, thank you

ricknos: thanks. I wish I could finish all of these (I'll try for some), but I tend to get bored, like everyone does.
