Belated happy birthday, and grats on the 2 years later Big improvements, no doubt about it, last study looks awesome. Sorry about being a bit of a dick over in the critique center earlier, there were many ways of saying what I said more politely.

Thank you! Over the year I think I've developed wisdom with a hint of hard skin from Benedikt (awesome critique-er btw) playing the bad cop. Will do my best to pump more studies from now on! Aotix's baby album.

Wow, you're insane! Your stuff is really good. I can see you know a lot about perspective and i liked your characters. I'd work more on color picking, though. Sometimes i feel very late on drawing, specially when we have the same age. Anyway, waiting for more posts.

it's been 2 and a half years, with not much to show. Ahh the artist block or motivation or whatever you wanna call it, sure hits hard.

This is a fanart for a DnD series I've been following for a while https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EuLjzuOF5Nc

Ello! Glad to see you're back at it! I don't blame you for not doing anything for a while, I find the more of a life I have, the less time I have to do art lol. For a while I found one painting a week is pretty reasonable if you're busy. Contrary to what you believe you def have improved from where you were, your edges and perspective are a lot better! I'll be staying tuned for more .

The study looks really accurate . Btw in enviroments for edge control the smudge tool is really useful along with softer brushes, specially when doing them fluffy clouds.

Also if don't have a brush set already, Shaddy Safadi has great starter one. While Jaime Jone's set is also good if you'd like 20 more brushes :p.

@Inkem, I'm currently using ConceptCookie's brushes which set to opacity by pressure, that means I have to press extra hard to get a clean look, works great. Usually I use eraser or bg colour to go over the edges.

Stuff from environment of the week contest and daily studies.

Been really busy today so I just decided to brush up the crappy ones instead of drawing a new one. (purposely avoiding texture references since they seen to eat up unnecessary time)

Your environment color studies are looking nice and sharp. Colors are crazy accurate. Is that an EVA fightin off a godzilla in the last attachment?! That's awesome
    Keep drawing!

@Arteriorrhexis, damn right it is lol. Storyboards are surprisingly fun.

@Inkem, frankly, I did steal the palettes from photo bashing a long time ago, although the human stuff is new.

Theres nothing but landscape shots with a ton of textures in my reference folder, I think its time I grab some more online...

I see some real dedication here, awesome stuff! Really love the atmosphere you did with colours in #112, there is some action and tension in it even though they're standing. These daily enviroment studies are pretty damn rad, keep them coming, you're improving in each one of them!

That last attachment is cool. Lovin the shape of the giant fish. Yeah do some more creative stuff! They're also really good practice since you are applying everything you learn.

Nice SB. Great studies! For this piece I would light up the top of the creature a bit more to show more form. Also I would darken his mouth much more to separate it from blending with the rest of his head.
