    Yasamin's kawaii sketchbook

    hello! c:
i've been lurking here for, uh, a couple of months i guess and now i've finally got the courage to sign up.
my name is yasamin, 17 years old and from germany. yay!
you can critic me as harsh as you want c: let's encourage eachother!

ps: pretty sure that this sketchbook isn't going to be very kawaii since it will mostly contain studies, but pssst!

oh man, i hope i am doing this right. starting with some faces and poses from reference and a photo study for the values. unfortunately i did the photo study on one layer, which wasn't a pretty smart idea.

I think you should concentrate more on your drawings. I see some good things here, but you need more practice. Keep posting.

Lovely stuff so far! The heads/faces are especially good, as for the painting, I think you need to pay more attention the the values/shadow placement (light sources!) and colors. Try to work with the basic round brushes, the textured ones make the studies look quite messy :/
(And hey, we're even the same age+same nationality! )

Please take a look at my Sketchbook! <- Comments are highly appreciated and returned C:

Good work so far, keep doing those studies they really do pay off. Just make sure that you apply the knowledge you're getting from them...as they say if you don't use it you loose it.

    hello hello!
i can't really remember what i did last week. all i remember is watching anime and 874393724 doodles. there are some pretty good ones airing this summer btw
umm, yea. making some sort of practice schedule is probably a good idea.

also fanart! woooho it's been more than a year since i last made a digital fanart. i won't be uploading them on here from now on though.
    drawing hair is tough, gotta practice that. it's pretty unspectacular too hm.. sorry about that;;

princess misaka (girl in the picture♥) made me realize so much. thank you hun, i owe you one.
and yes i am going to make a practice schedule now.

some 1 minute poses. the left one is from today and the other one from yesterday. i'm not really good at those things ahahah;; also i decided to upload pretty much everything on here now, which basically means that you guys will see my doodles! yay! they are still bad which is why i did not upload them on here before, but we are all here to progress and progress can't happen if i keep things to myself. (does this make any sense? )

    hello hello! uvu
poses from mind, a portrait study, a photo study and an "environment" doodle.
my colours are really sort of.. off? they just look so flat also i need to improve my brushwork as well.
alsoooooo, i think i'm still not really down with the basics. simply painting one picture after another doesn't work when you don't understand what you are doing
oh well! i'm off watching that weird new german show where people are being chased and taken down by several dogs
