Help, My Tablet is stuck in monitor settings.

I got a Cintiq 12wx last spring, ran it on my desktop with windows 7, and it worked fine all summer. I moved a month ago and just set up my work space and started to doodle. For some reason my pen wasn't registering on the tablet. When I went to click on wacom tablet properties it said that I don't have a supported tablet connected. I went onto the website and downloaded the latest driver. When I checked the monitor settings its registered as a PnP monitor, but says Cintiq 12wx display. Now for some reason its not letting me find the driver. The only thing I can locate is generic PnP monitor. Im a little vexed.

use revo uninstaller to try and uninstall the wacom software, and reinstall with the latest drivers. also check that the USB on the cintiq is plugged in. i'm not familiar with that model, but on my intuous3 cintiq you needed to have the USB in for the digitizer to work

I tried the revo uninstaller, but it didn't locate anything from wacom.

still check if its plugged in?
if you right click on my computer and goto device manager, you can find the wacom digitizer drivers in there. right click on that one and from there you can uninstall or just point to the new version.

It's plugged in. The 12wx is vga or dvi. I have mine connected to the vga port on my desktop. I have an HD port that I run to my monitor. I tried fiddling with it again but still no luck. Looks like I'm just going to have to wait until after new years when I have a weekday off to sit down and call wacoms tech support.

backup, nuke your OS, and start over. probably faster than tech support! good luck man, this stuff can be frustrating sometimes
