FREE book--Fundamentals of Drawing From Life

    Hey Peeps,

Merry Christmas. In celebration of Christmas, and all things good, I have made my drawing book available in printable PDF form, for free, to be downloaded. If you want to learn how to draw from life, the book will help get you there. I cover all range of topics from visual measuring, values, to the procedure. Click the link to go get the book!

(added 2 links that Flashback posted from below)

    http://rapidshare.com/files/4103499068/FODFL.pdf
    http://depositfiles.com/files/gn9up80sh
    http://wehaslinks.com/ebooks/11957

If you have a torrent program, you can download the book via torrent http://dl.dropbox.com/u/2017174/FODFL.pdf.torrent and there is a mirror site down in post #26. Thanks Jonathan.

I've studied up and down the west coast, and the book is particularly helpful for any students who are currently aspiring to be artists. If you know anyone trying to learn, please pass it on! Thanks! Merry Christmas!

Also--For everyone downloading, if I could ask for two favors:

    1) If you find it valuable, please share it with as many people as possible who can get something out of it. Do you teach? Use it in your class. etc..

    2) Obviously I'm giving it away, so I'm not expecting anyone downloading it to pay for it (via Amazon), unless you'd like a perfect-bound copy. However, once you get a chance to check out the book, please go leave me an honest review at Amazon.com. The book is the first result in the title search, and more reviews means that more strangers are more likely to make the purchase if they stumble across it. Thanks!

Not sure why that would be. I've just tried to start downloading myself, through the thread (and on a different computer than I uploaded from) and it works. Be sure to click on the "FODFL.pdf" link.

Yeah, it's not working for me either...which is a shame because I am really interested in seeing it. Maybe try another site? Or if it isn't too many pages upload it on the forums as images?

Also, you may want to have a warning by the link for the download--there are hardcore pornography ads on the side of the page, and while I don't really care, some people may be more sensitive or viewing this in a public place or workplace.

lol. I was under the assumption that the accidental possibility of a porn banner was a standard disclaimer of surfing the internet.

For those of you who are having problems, I'll probably upload via Dropbox within a month or so, so there will be another venue to get the book. I'll update the thread appropriately when it's ready.

Sorry, I'm not versed in the essentials of internet fluidity (efficiency of size and speed and sites to download), so it is what it is. I'm also not going to pay a bunch of money to give the book away for free; I've already spent the better part of a year of my life putting the book together, there's only so much you can give away. If any of you peeps at Conceptart.org are reading, if you'd like to host the book on the servers there for download, I'd be happy to give it to you to distribute. If you guys want it to happen, you'll have to bug the powers that be. Until then, you're at the mercy of slow free downloads and porn banners.

Just finished downloading it from the depositfiles link that Flashback posted. Thanks so much Michael for putting this together and then giving it away for free! I skimmed through it quickly and it looks like it's packed with solid info and of course your amazing drawings. I'll need to read through it more thoroughly when I get home from work tonight

Have you thought about sharing it over Google Docs? Would Google docs work for a PDF? Not sure why it wouldn't!

Thanks for making this book available. I am working my way through it.

I wanted to ask if I could make a .torrent of your book. It would be on a public tracker so if people wanted they could get some better speeds and possibly share some of their upload speed. I have some unused bandwidth I never use and would like to put it to some use.

It is of course cool if not. Just wanted to ask before doing it.
