Denmark, or Sweden or.... Scandinavian UNITE!

The chance of there are other danish guys or girls on this forum is 1 to 7389473877.... At least i think so.

But it's almost the same with swedish guys, og norwegian, so Scandinavia UNITE! :jump2:

I understand what you're trying to say...but please. Type it in danish instead, or english. All swedish kids read some danish in school after all. I think we'll understand.

    Dijon 24 Hour Comics Day

    Hi--

I'm putting together a 24 Hour Comics Day in Dijon, FRANCE.

What is a 24 Hour Comics Day, you ask? Why, simplicity itself, my dear Watson. A 24HCD is a personal challenge for an artist to make a 24-page comic book in 24 hours. It's completely non-comptetive. There no winners, no losers, no prizes, and no medals.

The challenge is hardly limited to professionals. We seek beginners and pros alike. The only goal is to express yourself as you can.

The 24HCD will be held April 23-24 all over the world, but this one is the first and only in Europe.

We're looking for artists who would like to take on this original challenge. We also need people who would like to help promote the 24HCD. How to do this? Easy: if you think it's a good idea, talk about it! Seeing as it's the first one in Europe, we could easily have tens or even a hundred artists. We've already got a several foreign artists. With word of mouth, the sky's the limit!

Dijon isn't exactly next door, but there're already a whole lot of Romanians coming, so you can make it too!

So run, don't walk, to www.24hourcomics.com for a better explanation. After that, go to my forum , and sign up.

    Thanks,
    Kenn Sebesta

Time for another meet in Stockholm?

This time abit more organized I think, maybe like a mini workshop like Android and Marco had in Berlin? How about that? Who would you like to meet?

ehm, Geography has never been my strong suit. Anyone know how long it is and how much the travel costs from Denmark to Stockholm. If its not too expensive, on a weekend and Im not stuck in something else then I will be there.

    http://designkliniken.no-ip.com/speed/rsten.jpg

    Ellipse templates?

Anybody still doing hand sketching and marker rendering?
Interrested in gettinga set of ellipse templates?

I'm thinking of ordering this set:

    http://www.timesavertemplates.com/catalog/items/item43.htm

the price for the set is 30 USD..in sweden you'd have to pay about 1000kr
altough the shipping is 85 USD..

....but if we order a bunch of them we'd could reduce the shipping cost

    Awesome weekend for sure!
    Thanks to all of ye!

Was great to finally meet and get to know you guys and I hope we'll see each other soon again.

I had the great opportunity to draw some more gestures on yesterday's croquis-meeting at the university, and I have to say the evolvement throughout this weekend was more than I hoped for.
I'll update my sketchbook this week, I promise.

    Again, thank you guys!

    But I'm le tired...

    Thumbs up

    Hi everyone

Yeah the fuses did pop not once but twice...sure lot of energy created from all that talent and skill packed in that room... usually it's only my own brain fuses that pop not the entire house fuses I learnt a lot just from looking at you guys and girls drawings and how you worked to solve the challenges of life drawing as well as drawing like a maniac and learning to know what to focus at to get better wasn´t a bad thing either! Even dreamt about drawing the construction part this weekend. It was nice meeting you all.

Mayasan I will get Internet access in two weeks and make a comeback on my road to greatness 8) and thanks for arranging this badass lifedrawing weekend.

Pubmoot at Carmen in Stockholm on Wednesday December 7.

Bring something that inspire you - books, music, pictures, histories about something. And of course bring your drawings and your friends!
We'll be there from 20.00, and if you don't recognize us it should be safe to just sit down with the group in the darkest corner of the cellar as long as you choose the group with all the books and portfolios - the others are probably also artists, but not the ones you are looking for

    Keep drawing!
    /Maya San

    Hello allihop!

So, is everyone gearing up for the workshop in Prague? I think you will have a great time there - make sure you draw all the time, don't take notes - DRAW notes!! I loved the ones in Berlin and San Fransisco, but this time Leo and I will stay at home. Send us some pictures and drawings, will ya?

But we are planning to have that kroki-thing here in Stockholm in november, so you will all have a chance to repeat your new skills after Prague. Maybe november 5-6 or 12-13? And it will be pretty advanced since we figure most of the people joining will already know basics of kroki and anatomy (don't worry, all YOU guys know enough!) You can PM me if you want to sign up for a spot and I'll keep you updated on when and how much.

Aaaand, we had a pub-moot last week at Carmen. Maybe 10 people showed up, some with portfolios and others with new drawings that they did since the last time because they got so inspired talking to other artists. Someone here asked what this is all about and I think the answer is to inspire each other, to give each other that "oh, I want to go home and draw now" feeling (I almost left before my beer was finished, next time I'll bring a sketchbook...). If you have artist-people you know close to where you live, make sure you talk to them and meet and compare and say nice things (or not so nice if necessary..) about their drawings!!!! I can't repeat this enough times!!!!
Anyways, at Carmen it was mostly old collegues of mine and a couple of friends of theirs that also draw. But if anyone here at CA feels that they want to join, just bring the portfolio and come! Next time is Wednesday 2/11 (always the first Wednesday of the month) at Carmen - and I'm gonna show my first (payed for) comic, and the rest of you can show your notes from Prague!

    /Maya
