You sure like to do photo studies, but I would like to see some more variety when it comes to other studies.

I really like all of them, to be honest. And you've improved quite a bit in this short time, I'd say. At first your landscapes seemed a bit too messy-- despite the fact that they clearly showed what there is. And uh, even though I'm not a professional, you should try putting in some smaller brushes here and there. As in, cleaning up. Defining. Surely they are studies, but a quick clean-up like that doesn't take too much time. c:

Loved the viking, by the way. How the light hit his nose and other features. Awesum. o.o Keep it up!

Ehecod - Thank you for the kind words! And I agree, I do try to use some smaller brushes/ texture brushes but only on some areas of interest hehe. I'll try to use some smaller brushes, more and better next time.

I saw the devil. Great korean movie! Studie from that movie.

Fina studier!

Får börja göra lite mer studies from life hehe.

    More studies.

Nice progression with these. Tough to critique if you keep progressing so quickly! Keep painting man.

Really good improvement in such short amount of time ! Maybe you should do more without referance ? By the way those are amazing colors ! I would like to know whether you color pick from the reference or from a palet. I am really struggling with coloring without the color pick tool. Anyways keep it up !

ivan4oto - Thanks! I made this sketchbook just for my studies, but I might post some "from my imagination" paintings from time to time( check my website if you want to see non studie stuff hehe).
I don't use the Eyedropper Tool directly on the reference photo, I try to look at the photo and then pick the color I think it is. It was definitly hard for me in the beginning( and still is) to just look at the photo and pick the right color, but you get better at it with practice.
I don't know if that answers your question... but you should use the Eyedropper Tool when you paint. I use it all the time when I paint these photo studies( and other stuff) but I just don't pick the color directly from the photo.

Studies... ZbrushCentral have lots of great alien images to studie from hehe.

I love how you're able to bring mood to a piece with your usage of color. This is especially prevalent in your environment pieces. Phenomenal work.

It's good that you're focusing more on character studies, since I think that's where you need the most work on. Don't get me wrong, they're good, but not just in the same level as your environments in my opinion.
