hey we're getting a new computer soon and it will cost roughly AUS$2300 ( had someone who knows about computert help me out by picking parts for it).
anywho , there's an LCD monitor that is in there (BENQ FP767 17", for AUS$660) but I'm not sure whether to get a higher end CRT instead. I'll be using it mainly for art like photoshop, looking at art on the internet and so on, and not really for gaming (i dont play games much at all)
Pretty much all reviews and buyer's guides said that LCDs colour quality isnt as good as CRT, but with CRt you cant get perfect screen geometry or convergance. CRTs are also faster but a lot bulkier. BUT some were at least a few months old so i couldnt really get a super up to date one.
i wish i knew more about monitors and computers but yeah thats what i know so far and I'm hoping some of you who uyse them for digital art every day can help me choose one, and what specs to look for in a monitor. Thanks!!
