    water clay sketches

    Hi everyone...new to the forum and I've gotta say you guys are so inspiring!
    Just thought I'd introduce some of my work...

    These are my first water-based clay sculptures that I did last year...these are about 1 hour sketches.

    Wow, those are really nice, Wasabi. The second one looks like Eddie from Iron Maiden's artwork, was that your inspiration?

    Thanks guys. I start these with no particular idea in mind...I just try to push the clay into finding its own form. Cheap water-based clay is great for these quick, small sketches.

    Here's another one I did last night...

    its cool i think maybe u should try to give them some texture like in smellybugs tutorial. i know its just sketches, but practice is never bad =)

    Very cool 8) I agree about adding texture. Adding it where needed would take these to another level.
