    Holiday e-card

Every year, the company I work at e-mails a holiday e-card to all of their clients. I have done photo-manipulation work in the past but this time, I wanted to use my illustration skills and do something more creative. In the end, this is what I came up with.

My boss and everyone really likes it but I'm interested to know what others think.

    Thanks.

Why is this marked as NSFW (Not Safe For Work)?

Anyway, my biggest problems is that I can't tell where the penguins are standing compared to the snowman. I mean the intent looks like they are supposed to stand in front of it, but it ends up looking like they're to the side, partly due the placement of the penguins and the size of the snowman (so it looks like the penguins are far away and the snowman close). This could be helped easily by either having the other penguin overlap the snowman (thus placing it firmly in front of the snowman visually) or having some ground level there.
Also I don't see why one of the snowman's hands is very human like? People generally understand the concept of snowman's twig arms, so the intent would come through even if both were just sticks.

If you do move the penguins I would try out the composition for a standing card instead. I think that it would make a stronger impact.

I really like the spectator penguins shocked expression.

Oh and the carrot is painted in a wrong perspective.

I don't see how it's painted in the wrong perspective. It's supposed to be from an upward angle and I even drew a line from the vanishing point through the carrot to make sure it was in the right perspective.

The snowman's face is drawn more in frontal view, while the carrot looks as if viewed from the side; needs more foreshortening.

Thanks Theeroos for explaining that to me. And thanks to everyone else for taking the time to comment.

I ended up making some changes to this. What do you guys think now?
