Nudity warning because I have a particular muse n the Fie dragon species I made up that has become more and more insistent on being drawn nude.

Spent a little more time on a new version of the study. It looks more finished now

Trying to get better anatomy. Does this look alright? If not, what needs to be fixed?

the anatomy looks pretty good i can't really tell from the last piece, my best advice would to be start on some anatomy studies just to show us where you're at with it.

Gosh idealizations are everywhere. Studying the loomis figure drawing book. No scans yet of the studies, as it is just copying... but I am really wondering why his first drawing in the book of the female figure is in high heels. and getting a little uncomfortable with how overly idealized the female figure is, in every one of his drawings. Even his studies and drawings of nude models are highly idealized. And as someone who has never seen these proportions outside of fashion models, and draws girls with more average build, even a bit thicker and chubbier, like my own build... I dont know. I am struggling with this loomis ideal proportions thing because people dont often look like that and his drawings look like someone stretched them out.
He even mentions that his proportions are rather uncommon
I'll keep studying his works for anatomy guides, but I am slightly worried that some people will see images of chubbier, non ideal females (Like apple shaped or pear shaped or has a little fat on them that stops some of the "ideal" curve shapes from showing) and start saying that the anatomy is completely and horribly wrong. Because they have developed Loomis tinted blinders.
    Just thoughts.
I just... I want to be able to draw every type of body. I dont want to become a One Trick Pony in terms of body shapes. some people get so caught up in the ideal that they dont draw anything else. Sure it looks good. But there are different body shapes out there, and as someone who has a character that is a little thick, and has a bit of stomach pudge, I am finding myself wary of how everyone is shouting "Study loomis" from the rooftops. Because it is too idealized, and all his figures start to look the same

Anatomy crits please! Some studies I did recently. Blue pencil was from models in a magazine, a I was on the road all dy and had nothing else to work from. The graphite was my frirst attempt at copying loomis's work

Rather ambitious project I am making myself lose hair over. I havent tried painting style since I took the class, and but I want to get better at it, so I am going to torment myself with this piece on and off, while probably making studies of shading and backgrounds and reworking it a thousand times. And frantically searching dA and other websites for good painting tutorials. I am too used to working in layers

Rough stuff of a male model which i am using for a study sort of thing. Was planning on doing something different with the hair and pants though, so I am struggling with the pants folds
