    Ok did a couple of sketches was toying with the more roguish assassin but I really like the jester guy and figured it would be a good tie into the kings court.

    Once in a while you gotta take a break from all the craziness you're doing and just draw some orcs and goblins!

    Here's my rough sketch.

    @Me,Myself & Me again
    Nice goblin-head. Especial the eyes.
    @axelson
    Good start. You producing a lot of good stuff. Like the goblin. The pipe give some atmosphere he's looking like a experienced veteran.
    @artdwx
    Nice design. Middle left is my favorite. He looks like a mean badass loving his work. Also like the curves in he's outfit.

    Ironbyte I love your painterly style and plays with dark and light. Also your textures really bring out the feeling of grungy skin. Are you using Painter or Photoshop?

    Hi everyone. Not posted for ages, but thought I'd come and have a crack. not my usual fair, but sounded like fun.

    g@m, I love those face sketches you did.
    ~baxter, I'd go a bit more evil. Looks very nice, especially for a goblin!
    artdwx, nice start.

    Here's my take, a cunning old goblin. I'm not sure why but I think he's coming out a litte flat at the moment. Too many highlights maybe...

    Fiammama - Thanks, I'm using Photoshop and a chalk like textured brush for pretty much everything apart from sketching and some detail.

    Here's some sketches from today at work. Hopefully when I get home, I'll have more time to flesh these out.

    Doubt I can finish this, but I just really wanted to try since it seems like such a cool topic.

    Anyway. The first thing that came to my mind really is the goblin queen, slightly along the lines of Lady Macbeth, but with a bit more venom, you know? Charming, manipulative, knows how to intimidate the kings enemies, and if that doesn't work... well,there's always that poison she keeps inside her ring. The king himself is probably even scared of her, but she likes him enough to keep him alive. For now.

    @Ironbyte
    The dramatic silhouette works fine against the grey background.
    @Tomercs
    coming good
    @chevy28360
    Nice sketches
    @Thujon
    I like the characters and the details you add. I think you can push the anatomy more.
    @Kamiru_
    I like the idea. I think you can do a lot with that.

    mHugo...LOVE your costume elements.
    Quinn...Good GOD, man. Why didn't you post this earlier so I didn't feel like such an unimaginative schmoe*? One of these days you gotta throw a demo on YouTube.
    Gautham...Nice starts. #1 feels the most gobliny.
    Kahel...interesting take on goblin. Nice costume.
    Kamiru...cool idea and promising start.
    Thujon...love the creative energy. The anatomy feels a bit doodly for my taste. Fun details.
    Chevy...Promising start!
    Tomercs...I love this design. I really wanted to achieve this kind of distinct personality, but mine seem to be getting more generic as I work. If the right leg was a bit beefier it might emphasize the peg leg.
    Ironbyte...Great personality and nice rendering. Feels like its leaning back a hair too far.
    JanJager...Love the pose, love the weapon. Whiskers...the rope...nice touches. I look forward to your line of instructional DVD's.
    Me Myself I...Nice start. The anatomy feels a bit stylized, like some thought about his skull would help. Love the black eyes.
    Alexson...Such clean, confident lines...I look forward to seeing where this one goes.
    Artdwx...A cornucopia of fun design elements.

    *Urban Dictionary's partial definition of 'schmoe' (not my intended meaning): "A man who pays money to wrestle with a woman who is often more muscular and stronger than he is..."

    My portfolio

    Would you like to see my drawr-rings?

    Will design for food, provided that we all agree that money is edible.

    Hey everyone! I've been trying to get in on a contest here for a long time but something always kept me from finishing. But it's time to get in on these.

    Here's my wip! I wanted to do something a bit different here. The design is still in progress. I am deviating from the normal design of a goblin.

    Quinn Simoes - very sinister, I like it!
    G@m -very expressive thumbnails, I really need to start using thumbnails to generate ideas instead of diving in head first with the first idea I get

    Anyways, here's a little more development.
