    Portrait of Pete Seeger

I believe I've been working on this one for about 5 weeks. Not only is Pete Seeger an interesting subject to paint but he's an amazing folk musician and banjo player. When I'm not painting I'm playing the banjo so doing this piece was fulfilling on several levels. If anyone's interested I've posted several of my tunes here: http://www.banjohangout.org/myhangou...c.asp?id=29140

Thanks for looking (and perhaps listening too)!

    Thanks!

Here's a pic of the painting within ProCreate after about a weeks worth of work:

Very impressive, the level of detail you've got in there is amazing especially the beard. The only thing that seemed maybe a tad out of place is the highlight on the cheek as that looks very smooth compared to the rest of the perfectly textured skin.

Fantastic character to paint, older people always make some of the best models.
Great job, keep up the good work!

Amazing, the detail, the light is so realistic. My only critique would be that his shirt doesn't have the same level of believably like the face does.

    Damjan,

Thanks for the feedback. I deliberately kept the shirt loose to draw attention to the face.
