@Uiriamu: They asked a lot of questions and wanted me to sign a lot of stuff. I really needed to push them, so that they hurry a little. Afterwards they told me, that I wouldn't have made it if I were even 20 minutes late for the OP :/ - nice eh?
The different look comes from the source I painted from. I used a beamer to project the scenery onto a wall, so the colors changed quite a bit. But it was worth it
I'm a little stuck when it comes to the illustration. It doesn't look as I wanted it to, but I'm not quite sure what to do. I think I need to put it aside for a day and then finish it off.
@Nysta: Yeah, I'm back to drawing daily
I've been to town yesterday and painted this from life:
I also started another Virtual Plein Air painting (Angkor Wat), it's not done yet, though:
And my latest illustration. I'm a little stuck here. I don't quite like it but I also don't know what to do about it:

Sooo since you decided to put it away for a day.. and I hope I picked the right illustration here.. I decided to make a little overpaint..
-to the female characters anatomy to look like a female and not like a male with tits(if that's what you wanted.. well then let it be, haha)
-to the carriers poses(you don't usually want to carry it on your bare shoulder
-to the crookedness of the litter.. probably not enough, but if anything it should bend the other way
-to the carriers necks.. they were simply missing.. they seem to be very short in general though
-to the structure of the drapery, it seemed a bit weird to me
-to some of the perspective.. just some, but probably enough
-to some tangents of buildings in the background, though due to those I'm not exactly sure if I broke it down correctly
-to the atmospheric effect.. strengthened it a bit to gain some distance.. thought probably not enough with that one building in the front, but it's your painting, you'll need to fix it yourself anyway if you want to.. the same applies to the soldiers, their colors are probably too bright, at least the one to the right is so bright he seems to stand very close and thus to be a dwarf soldier..^^
-some of the weapons looks
-shadows still need some fixing(light source inconsistent and color from reflected light sometimes a bit weird) and the last carrier is still missing completely
-feet look weird
-relation of sizes of the characters is weird
-in general.. you might want to think about "what pose would I take to do what they do" - and maybe even try it
Well.. in any case, I hope it helps Cheers!

good to see you're back and getting well, love those pen studies you are truly rolling with your sketchbook which is awesome.
keep an eye for figure proportion, I really like the rendered characters they show creativity and imagination but some of their poses are unnatural, do gesture studies, I find that 60-120 second gesture studies few times a week really helps with solving the wonky feel to stance. if you are not sure you can always use a good poses character even from some one else's concept work and put your character on that pose.
Keep it up buddy.

@Nysta: Hey hey, thanks for going that deep into detail. I took some of it to heart and changed stuff around. Some others were too much hassle to change, so I just keep it in mind for the next painting.
@Danny_K: You're right about the poses. Yet I don't think that quick poses really help a lot with that because I already do them almost every day. I think what would help me more is to just paint more characters and think a lot about the poses. That's one of my weaker areas anyhow. I could feel the improvement just from those few characters.
Something I painted from life today:
I finished that painting now - I don't want to dwell any longer upon it:
And a rather quick ship-study I did today:

Damn man your self discipline and determination is awesome! I agree with Uimaru a lot of your paintings seems a little low key. Over all your paintings are amazing hope you keep it up!
