    Submit story/work to a studio

Just wondering if it is possible to submit an idea or story to a studio, I'm writing a book, well co-writing it but it is my idea and story. It is a good story but before we release it i wanted to know if it is possible to submit it to a studio?
Any info will be greatly appreciated.

It is almost impossible to get a studio to look at an unsolicited manuscript because of lawsuits. Most places have a do not accept policy unless you have an agent with an in to the studio chain of command.

You mean pitch an idea for a film or TV show? (I don't know about games.) Call up the studio you're thinking of and ask.

dpaint is correct! Don't even waste time calling a studio.

You need an agent, agency or manager to submit for you.

OR as they say "You have to know somebody."

..I remember Nickelodeon coming to my school and saying if we had an idea to pitch, we could just call and arrange for one (after signing tons of paperwork saying they didn't owe us any money, etc, etc, etc, of course.) so YMMV.

Edit: I should clarify, that's for tv animation.

Yeah no. Just make it a really, really good book.

    What would Caravaggio do?

WOW thanks for the replies, I guess I'll try and see if it works, if not I'll just continue with the story in book form, we are already in talks with a publisher, hope it all works out.
