jeeezuss that movie frikkin rocked. The fight scene on the train was un-frikkin-believeable. awesome. goin again.

There was much rejoicing in the realm of the Harvest Gods when man created the beer, light could not penetrate.

I agree the action was great... well most of it. But overall I felt it was B- at best.

Campy and corny all in one breath in most places.
Anyone else notice how many screaming girls there were?

I thought the movie was amazing. It absolutely crushed the first one. It was funnier and the action was much, much better. I dunno, it's just one of those movies that made me feel good when I walked out.

fight scenes were a big improvement from the first one. especially the cg with spider-man swinging through the city, nice touches and such. Only complaint would be that some parts of the movie dragged on too long.

SHIT YEAAAAH!!! Great comic book movie! Damn, it made me feel like a little kid again. Obviously, there's gonna be some cheeseball parts, but I loved every minute of it.

I was super impressed with doc octopus. They translated him perfectly from the comics to the movie. He is one of my favorite comic book villains ever. The scene where he gets out of the water and walks over spiderman is stuck in my head. Ominous and tragic.. Brilliant!

The movie overall was a fun showing. To me a lot of it was redundant from the first one...at least with the visuals of Spiderman and his movements. Nothing really new or spectacular with him. Don't get me wrong tho, it was a good movie. Doc Oc was done well too.

So what comes next? MJ's fiance' was an astronaut...is that Venom forshadowing? Or will it go to Green Goblin's son?...and since I am never on top of movies....are they even making a 3rd?

It was soo cool!! It makes the first movie even more boring! Even though it already got old after a while. Its a great ending too to open up to the next Spiderman movie. This one has a whole lot more story than the first. I got me on the edge a lot.

By the way, Yellow Dart, they are making a third movie.
Im not gonna say anything cause I dont want to spoil things for other people by answerig those questions.

    nope
i think theyll have hobgoblin in the 3rd movie, and then at the end have the astronaut come down with the venom parasite....for the 4th movie..its the logical step :cuddle:

Did you notice how Peter Parker's professor (who threatened to fail him) only had 1 arm?

Looks like they've left the whole villian thing pretty open. Venom, hobgoblin, and lizard.

I was impressed with Spidey 2...some of the love story was getting on my nerves tho (but I love you, I don't...I can't love you, I love you, go get 'em...blah), but that was not too bad...and Doc Oc...RULED!!!! :hearts: ...he crushes the green goblin. Which brings me to my final point...if they have Hobgoblin the bad guy for the 3rd movie...I'll be pissed.... :flamig: unless they have 2 villians, and team that weak ass guy with venom...that's the only way I'll be OK with the "goblin" family in the flicks. It would also be cool if they put spidey in the black suit...but I doubt that will happen.

if they had hobgoblin in the next one i want them to design a better costume than on the last goblin.probably make him a cgi mask-that'd probably be much better.stick more to the original comics that is.
and if they're really doing him it would be extremely cool if they also bring in demogoblin and let them fight against spidey-and each other.man that would rock-demolition total.
but i'm still waiting for venom and carnage bc those two would rock me out of my socks

first let's clear up the whole venom thing. somewhere in cyberspace there is a supposed interview with sam raimi where he says that he will NOT do Venom in these Spiderman movies (thank god). He is, IMO, one of the most overrated villians in Spidy's rogue gallery... how about Shocker, Scorpion, Sandman... Mysterio (my fave), Lizard or even Chameleon?

Anyway this was by far the better of the two Spiderman movies. Can't wait for the next one!! I especially loved the whole scene where they are about to operate on Doc Ock after his accident. Classic Sam Raimi, in the vein of Evil Dead!! awesome

    hehe
i was hoping you werent gonna say "the vulture" good god what complete ass he is...
and id never heard that quote, so that changes my theory a bit. and youre right, spideys got a huige list of villians to choose from. i think the lizard or rhino would be cool...
i think hes definately on track with these movies tho, im not a big fan of the "goblins", so i hope they do a better job with the next one...but hes shown (raimi) that he can make a sequal that more than lives up to the first one...and i think they will continue to do so.

The identity struggle in peter parker was a fantastic storyline for a superhero movie. Great movie, i too will see it again.

While I enjoyed the film, I have a few issues with it. Alot of the scenes and actors are campy and a little corny. The lady that plays Aunt May is really annoying. Doctor Octopus was superb though.

    Campy, cheesy parts!!! Careful (spoilers)

When spiderman uses his webs and they look like actual spider webs.

When spider steals his suit back from the newspaper office.

When spider stops the run away train. (the parts leading up were cool though)

Any scene where Aunt May is trying to be old and wise.

When Doc Ock's arms make him do things...

I was glad the Green Goblin didn't make his visit in this film,(he has the most annoyingly hokey laugh of any supervillan to date) however, due to the ending I don't believe I'll be looking forward to Spidey 3.

I also have one other question, if they can make a big green muscle man look completely real (the Hulk) why can't theey make a guy in a suit look real? Spidey looks pretty phony in many of the scenes.

Uhhh... In many scenes of the Hulk he didn't look at all realistic, depending on the lighting. Anyway that movie fell apart horribly towards the end. Any cheesiness in spiderman was obviously intended. Aside from a couple you mentioned like Aunt May's speech, which not everyone would consider corny. Spiderman 1 with the people of New York City rising up was way more cheesy than anything in Spiderman 2. "You mess with spiderman you mess with New York" "You mess with one of us, you mess with alllll of us." Yeah.. :crosseyed

Edit- Somewhere on the web I read that Dr. Connors as Lizardman would not be the villain in Spiderman 3 but rather he was introduced so he would be an option in a later movie. The two main villains they are considering are the hob goblin and venom. Although Raimi is not a fan of venom they are supposedly pressuring him about it as many avid fans would love to see him in a movie. I just think that its way too early in the movie series to be rehashing characters like the green goblin.

dakoscwash, I thought the Hulk looked pretty real the whole way through, your right about the ending though, they ruined the movie in the last five minutes. Still, Jennifer Connley is much hotter then Mary Jane (can't remember her actual name) so I will have to give the nod to the Hulk.:mischief:
