    Concept Alien: Treeeeef

Hello. This is a 1600 by 478 video composite animated Flash loop of a concept creature I put together using photographs and video I've taken over the year using my Canon T2i DSLR camera. The outside of the creature is a dinosaur sculpture photo from the Denver Museum of Nature & Science and the interior of the alien is a lizard I filmed at the Denver Zoo. The leaves that are in motion were shot outside of my house. I would still like to add a mouth from another animal maybe. I might try to go shoot some animals when it snows here... Get the whole Tropical Discovery at the Denver Zoo to myself The small bits of video are .png sequences running at 30 frames per second. Thanks for looking!

Use of Canon T2i DSLR for this work is really admirable..The loop looks good to me..The dinosour and lizard both looks amazing..Just need to ask why have you made the video in .png ??

    Hi aaron2,
Thanks for the compliment. I suppose it was not necessary to do the eyes or the leaves as .png since the video footage was shot in pretty much jpeg compression. However, the outside of the creature (the dinosaur part) was shot as 32 bit raw file so that was dropped to 24 bit .png file along with the animated "bumps". I can't wait for these cameras to start shooting video in at least 24 bit frame quality, as my looping techniques will really benefit from that. Thanks again!
