    Little Ghost Girl

So I've been working on this thing and I've stared at it so long that I need some second opinions on it before I go any further. Anyone see anything I ought to change? The trees should probably be lit more but I want to keep the contrast between the background and the figure.

I want to keep it somewhat theatrical and creepy-cute rather than horrible and scary.

Is she supposed to look like a doll, instead of a "real" person? There's things, like the way she's holding the knife (is she holding the sharp side up?) with all the other fingers except the thumb (and the other hand too) that just makes me think of a plastic doll's grip, same as the lack of neck and this is really accentuated by the painting/rendering, making this more of a "killer doll with a missing foot" pic, if I hadn't read the title.
Also the knife and her hair are close to making a parallel tangent, which kinda stick to my eye.

Oh yes, the neck. I thought something wasn't looking quite right.

She's supposed to look very stylized, but yeah, I'll fix the neck. I'm not sure the orientation of the knife makes a difference, it's just as awkward to cut your own neck one way as the other.

    Thanks!
