The cutting of his hair is a nice touch, but she seems a little far back to be slicing his hair. Or it migth just be me. good work!

Oh Snap  ! This pirate pic is F***ING AWSOME...lol i wanna see some more man show a pic of the girl landing and and stabbing the dude at the same time that'd be awsome.Any way no that thats out of me... i like the concept, though i think u shoulda shown more shock and surprise on the pirates face. and a bigger reaction of the crew on board... just some thoughts, and keep'em in mind. :hmm:

Quite a few problems on this one lots of anatomy stuff that I won't go into. The main thing to my eye is that it doesnt tell the story you set out to tell. There is no real relationship between the figures we don't believe that the girl cut the hair on the guy she's too far away from him! The ship stuff needs researching too you could perhaps exploit the dappled lighting that you get from all the rigging and sails. Check out Geoff Hunt a great sea painter

I agree with previous remark about her being too far away to cut his hair. Also i think it lacks movement somehow. I mean how does she cut his hair and end up in a pose like that in mid-air hehe seems a but too much i think.

But keep working on it. I like the detailing on the pirate, but the rest of the pic needs more of that. Also the sky seems a but too saturated i think

Yeah, get into great detail, of the way the pirates really were.

Also, the hair slicing the girl is to far back..

    Nice work.

I think the best part is the male pirates face. Very good with the lighting and everything.

    Smile

The net does seem a little too crude, which a little more detail should fix, BUT i do like that same crudeness on the characters, so leave that.

I disagree with the idea of changing anyhting about the boat, i think it will just take away from the main idea. Lets not forget, he's not drawing ships, he's presenting a character. I like the vessle the way she is.

The head on the girl, however, is a different story. I doubt that anyone could, try as they might, bend their neck into such an awkward position. She would, at most, be looking straight down at the deck. Having said that, maybe change her head position in this rendering, but give a full body view in another piece.

    Thnx for reading

To me it looks like her breasts are coming out of her clavicals. From that view (even with gravity playing it's role) there is no way we should see the breasts. They are below the shoulder, and this picture makes them look even with the shoulders. Also, the sword on the right has no contrast around it. I almost didn't even see it.

The way I read this image is that the girl cuts the pirate's ponytail during a back-flip and is going to land a distance away from him. So, we are seeing this about a split second after the act and therefore she would be that far away. That's a hell of a backflip though. Is that what you are trying to portray?

Also, more attention is needed on the anatomy of the pirate in the foreground.

    Good Job.

wow theres something about this that is very appealing, i love the rendering on the pirate at the front. i agree with medraw about the head, i think the head and back are too small in prop to the legs, but great job. i think you should research say on google image search under backflip to draw such a hard pose.
