    Illustration of the Week #40: Fallen Star

    This is a one and a half week topic. This topic was suggested by Kahel. Have any topic suggestions? Post them in the suggestions thread!

    Topic
    This weeks topic is Fallen Star.
    Your task is to create an illustration with the topic/theme fallen star.
    The topic is open so whether it be an actual star falling from the sky, a star exploding/imploding in outer space, a fallen hero/god or a rock star is up to you!
    Your imagination is the limit.

    Deadline
    The deadline is Sunday 25th of November, 23:59 GMT

    just a sketch so far... wanted to do it in b/w but now i think if im going to paint it it will be better with some colors

    @Sady: Nope! Not the only one! I like the environment. It's like the Chinese Star of the Gods. And a very vivacious palette and thoughtful attention to details.

    I'm not sure where to go except to push a few more details, kill the stars, etc.... I hope the "story" is apparent otherwise.

    Hey Sady, this is just an afterthought, and may be a little late (in fact you may have already taken care of this...); when I see a sunset that vivid I feel like it should canvas the environment a bit more. Right now the light on the ground and striking the slopes is still very white. Wouldn't that pink be blanketing the area a bit more? It's splitting hairs, I know, but every time I see yours it comes to mind.

    And Niam, I like your creative color choices but am still (a little) unsure of what's taking place. I assume we've got a fiend falling from the sky(?), but I can't say much else until you do more with it.

    now to think of it it really doesnt make much sense...
