Dude that owl...
You make it look so simple, by putting down opaque strokes of color and minimal blending.
It seems to go along well with the direct approach of pen and ink. Really nice

As a person who tends to be very scribbly and scratchy with a pen, your style is very inspiring. tight and clean but still very dynamic!

Ugh, your inking skills are killing me. And those birdies at the top of the page are gorgeous!! You just have such a great overall stroke/line economy, I want to steal your skills. Look forward to seeing more!
Also, do you use any references for the birds and other animals? If so, could you point me in that direction? Thanks!

Thanks Lydia I just need to transfer over that brush economy to my painting still too messy. And yes I do use reference I find flickr to be a good source as you get better image quality I find
stuff from the past week...
