I'm keen on learning the art of concept art.
I painted this using acrylic paint. I just started out, so feel free to throw in as many comments as you like.
1. Please use the attachment manager to insert your picture in the post. A lot of people won't bother with something they can't see immediately.
2. As for the picture - it's good that you're practicing in black and white. Pay more attention to the direction of light; a clear light source often is crucial for the illustration to work.
Practice composition, structural drawing, perspective, anatomy and lighting. I recommend books by Andrew Loomis, Norling and Sheppard.
i'm sorry, unfortunately i had trouble uploading the file using the attachment manager, I had to resort to using the link. any tips on how to interpret tonal values of colored objects in grayscale? I find i always have trouble with that.
