2012 Demo Reel focus is 3D Character Design

Listening to a few good artist out there, I created this reel before the end of the year. Quick reel about 2 minutes. The focus is on 3D character artwork even though I show other forms of art. Mostly digital art.

Is this reel to land work or just to show off your recent stuff? If it's to land work, a general rule is not to include music, since they'll probably turn it off anyway. Some pretty cool stuff though. Good job.

Heaven98 - Thanks!....it's to do both. I originally did not have music on, but I was able to find something good to go along so I put it on. Not too worried about HR folks who are burnt out on music.

Hi Ty! I think you have some great work here.
It might serve you better if you re-arranged it- your strongest pieces should be first. You can't guarantee anyone will watch more than the first 15 seconds. You have to hook them right away!

I'm not sure I feel like Capt'n is your strongest piece, personally. Maybe he's more impressive if you see more close ups? Perhaps he's just not shown in the best light.

I think the render of the diner scene is more impressive- and of Wolverine.

    Good luck!

Cherri - Hi! Thanks for checking out the demo. I'll keep that tip in mind for the 2013 demo.
