Also, I know it's shouting into the maelstrom, but the sticky posts are there for a reason:

why people struggle with drawing is lack of direction in pursuing their dream of becoming a pro artist... theres just to much info to comprehend for newbies like me lol.

Most people just starting don't realize there's a large number of directions to go, you need to just pick one. So they constantly ask what they should do instead of doing anything.

and yes no one reads the stickies -_-

I know that it isn't popular now, but I always thought it was a great book. I got a lot of use out of it when I was a kid. I admit that it's not perfect but it does a good job of presenting difficult subjects in an easy to understand way. I'd say it is probably the best book out their for total beginners to get started with.

    Proof please.

If you come back, post some of your work so people can get an idea of where you're at.

Hey, everyone makes mistakes and discussion can get heated when people disagree. Thats when emotions get in the way - it happens to me too but the difference is, if you're not capable of recognising when you're behaving like a spoilt child or when to stop talking and leave well alone, people will react badly.

And you did behave like a spoiled child. No offense. So you kind of brought it on yourself.

I think most of the incredulity in here comes from people wondering how you can want to be an artist, never mind a professional one, without a love for drawing anything and everything. Why would any kind of drawing be a chore? It's that kind of attitude that I find surprising because it's almost the opposite of how I feel about art.

Anyway, just my two bob's worth.
