    Thanks for dropping by, Mhugo!

    I'm off for the holidays. I leave for Budapest tomorrow and will spend a week in Florence in January. Most of the time I'll have neither internet access nor a scanner, so there will be no regular updates until the second week of January I'm afraid. I'll hopefully be able to do lots of work in the holidays (have DVDs with Vilppu and Robertson with me), so I'll have something to show for once I get back.
    Happy holidays to all of you, and a successful 2013 as well!

    Back from Budapest, I'm off to Florence on the 2nd of January.

    Did not get around to as much work as I wanted, too many social visits, but at least I finally got the hang of ellipses (in theory that is).

    Here are sketches on paper, got a few digital things as well on my laptop, have to touch those up a little bit though.

    Oh wow, conceptart is back online! Finally! Was getting really tipsy.
    Here's a lot of stuff I did over the last weeks, bit of anatomy but mainly perspective practice. I still suck at it, but it's getting better;

    Thanks GrayPersona! I'm really getting into the constructive perspective stuff, working as hard as I can. Still pretty intimidating.

    This is a few hours away from finished now:

    benedikt I really like the idea and the costume of this spider mama,i think though that the piece is too symmetrical and central(except for the head the to side are almost mirrored)
    it would maybe serve the composition better if she were standing at three quarter view one hand inviting you in and one receding into the fog,
    tantacles overlaping and showing depth to draw you more into the scene ,maybe her hand expressing alure and seduction.
    the idea communicates a strong female who will entrap you in her web,with slight modification to the pose and composition you can enhance that feeling.
    i wanted to do an overpainting which would express what my stunted linguistic skills cannot but wasnt sure thats the right thing to do as i am not that good.

    if you find this post pompuos and officious disregard it as the ramblings of a lunatic.

    @GreyPerson
    Thank you so much for your input. I'll try and fight the strong symmmetry as you suggested, however I can't change her pose completely since I'm running out of time with the deadline. Thanks again!

    Thanks for dropping by e-nat! =)

    Holy shit - this is a great sketchbook! You are very talented. I LOVE LOVE LOVE your perspective drawings of the planes & vehicles (the planes are the best tho!) Not only is the design & perspective well done, but the colors and way they are presented also look fantastic - I want to try some like that now lol.

    The prop plane you did on #129 is sexy as hell I love it. Really great, this is a killer-sketchbook - Thanks for sharing!

    Good luck on the IOW contest! You must work very hard to do all these, awesome to see man.
