    Little Monkey

Here's a character that I wrote as part of my story called (until now...) "The path of the wanderer".
She's a "Little Monkey", a lonely young girl, who likes to climb trees and explore the world. In this scene, I'm tryng to show how she feel alone, even that she's with his best friend and his butterflies: a carved face in the tree, that she talks with. The knife was stolen from her mother's kitchen, and she used it to carve on the tree. "With my knife, I can make friends everywhere..." is one of her lines.
It's going to be in black and white so far, illustrating the tale. The setting is a "chinese" based fantasy world.

    The illustration so far:
    Name: Macaquinha 2.jpg
Views: 233
Size: 207.9 KB

    The placement in the text:
    Name: Pergaminho atualizado.jpg
Views: 239
Size: 399.9 KB

    Any crits people?

Make the mood different, Show here as being comfortable and safe in the tree. Relaxed with her friends. Smiling as she looks out on the world below, make her stance open. Design the tree to support her and provide stability.

It's quite hard to tell that she's actually sitting on a branch, especially if you don't look directly at her.
