Very nice work, I just feel like he is lakcing the hermit-y feel, the character feels more like a hunter resting. When I think hermit I think older, especially with the size of the tree hole next to him he would have to stoop and then kind of be constantly stooped. Otherwise like I said great drawing

    Hope this helps

Looks nice overall. The texture is too busy; too much of it, it's everywhere, and it's very finely grained. It'd be better to use texture sparingly, to suggest things, and rely on broad brushstrokes for nearly everything.

My eye goes to the foreground, so it needs to be toned down. Also why isn't his fire throwing light onto his surroundings?

I didn't think it was possible to be called an artist when you have nothing to say. It's like being a writer who publishes individual words as books and expects to be praised for it.

I really like this picture but I keep looking at the left side in the really blackened area with all the grainy looking vines. It just doesn't look like the rest of the picture and it's really distracting. I believe this is caused by the issues Arenhaus discribed.
