LOVE the blue-toned and building environments on the first page!

I can definitely see improvements in your portraits, although the skin shadows are a little bit too saturated/orange in the refless paintings, but still great strides in improvement nonetheless!

About not getting many comments in your thread, do you post much in other threads? I've always found thats the best way to get more advice and crits, plus it makes me feel more involved in the site. 8D

Wow, your stuff is really great. I don't really have much in the way of critique, besides maybe laying off the tiny brushes in your portraits. Keep workin!

Check out my sketchbook! Socially acceptable opportunity to yell at a teenage girl!

Rhoshone - Thanks! Never thought I'd really hear this-- if you're being honest, that is. ;o

anivy - Thanks! And yeah, I do have a lot of trouble picking the right colors and sometimes I end up using Photoshop filters to -try- and get it right-- usually making it only worse and way too saturated. And no, I don't really post in other threads as I only use this as a sketchbook to keep track of my over-all improvement. But I guess I -should-. c:

keeptime - Thanks! And yeah, the tiny brushes is something that I also noticed. I usually work zoomed out quite a bit so I don't notice them that much at first, and since I never adjust the actual image scale before saving, well-.. they come out big on other sites and display a lot of their flaws.

And uh, here's a caricature that I made of my friend today! It was kind of a commission, although I was going to do it anyways for funzies.

Something that I made just now. Thoughts? Someone told me that the head was bigger than her torso and made it look weird. Well, not to me tbh. .__o

Post #24 is fantastic in its tonal qualities, composition and lighting, well done. Your sketchbook is certainly comin along in the digital department, you've got a feel for it for sure. Glenn Vilippu, Michael Hampton and Mike Matessi are all good to study to improve drawing people and anatomy from your imagination. Lookin forward to seeing more. Good goin.

magicpudding - Thanks for the feedback. And yep, I'm surely improving. I find studying about things much more effective than trying over and over again-- and that obviously is much more efficient. Anyways, I checked out the names and I don't think any of them give away stuff for free, which is quite a bummer as I can't afford literally anything. I'm 16 after all. I don't make any money.

Here's a quick 25-minute speedpainting, by the way!

Here's a WIP of something that I'm working on right now. But odds are that I won't finish it, so I decided to show it how it is right now-- just to prove that I've at least somewhat improved in painting faces and whatnot. Besides, if I were to finish this, it might look bad. That's usually the case. A lot of my works look better in their WIP stages. : d

Much like I predicted, the WIP of the face I posted previously ended up getting trashed. I wasn't feeling confident about it so I didn't even bother trying to finish it. Derp. Anyways, here's something!

Right, so.. I was going to put up a lot of this stuff earlier, but the site was down for some reason, as many of you probably know already by now. Anyways, here are some of my recent works!

A portrait that I made in Paint Tool SAI. I've found out that Paint Tool SAI is a lot easier for pretty much everything. Less complicated and can still bring some pretty good results. Blending is hella' easy too.

A speedpainting. A very, very quick one.

A scenery-thing with a bit of action. Took an hour to do.

The same one but with some extra details and color adjusting.

And here's a face that I started working on earlier today but stopped with about 30 minutes in. So yes, it's a WIP and I do plan on finishing it. At it's current state it's quite terrible, but it's a start. Looks way too saturated and all. The neck should be a bit thicker too, I know, I know. It has many flaws in it's current state, hence it's a WIP.

Once again, ConceptArt was down. And apparently there was also a Malware involved with it somehow? Not sure how that happened but I hope it's all good now. So, here are some of my recent (and decent) works!

Probably my best piece by far. It's fairly detailed and somewhat anatomically correct. The face got a bit messed up but other than that I'd say it's fine. Took 4 hours.

A quick landscape thing that I made after that one. The same day, that is.

Really like some of your sceneries, keep em coming!
I like the colour tones and use of highlights on that last female character. Critique-wise I'd say the shoulders seem a little too wide - like the arms were stuck on afterwards. But anatomy is a bitch one can only master by practicing, which you seem to do quite frequently, so kudos to you! Good work so far!

dantxal - Thanks! I appreciate the words. c: And as for the hair, I really like (in the 'waitress' painting, right?) the way it turned out. I spent quite a bit of time defining it to get the results. I wish I had spent as much time on the face, but after having sat there in front of the computer already for 4 hours with a headache and just generally being impatient, I figured that I wanted to get it done in that one session, and.. boom. That's what I did. o:

Weaving Worlds - A'yup. I'm pretty confident that I'm much better with landscapes rather than faces and figures-- as of now. Constantly practicing, though! And now that I look at her shoulders, they do seem quite oddly wide. I didn't even catch that at first. .__.' But thanks! ^^

And I don't have any painting to showcase just yet, so.. I'll leave that for later.

Here's a quick one (under an hour, at least) that I made of Abraham Lincoln. Accidentally. It started out as a random sketch but started to resemble him by accident, so.. I went and turned it into that. :D

    Joakim Olofsson- Thanks!

Anyways, here are some of my recent works. Sometimes I forget (or just happen to be too lazy) to post my work here once I've made it, which is mainly due to the fact that I'm managing two-three other sites for the same purpose. Kind of. Those sites would be Facebook, deviantART and Tumblr. But that doesn't matter at all! Here they are:

This one's a face of some guy on r/redditgetsdrawn. Yah, I started doing stuff there recently. People like, post their pictures and "artists" draw/paint them or whatever. It's great practice! I've learned a lot from that already.

And uh, this is basically the "counterpart" to the one above, of a guy named Amir Blumenfeld. This is Jake Hurwitz! They are both CollegeHumor employees and lead an amazingly hilarious webshow called Jake and Amir. They've made me laugh so hard over ever-since-I-found-out-about-them, that I decided to show a bit of dedication to them. Jake didn't respond to this one but Amir loved the one and said that he was honored. o,o

And a landscape/scenery/environment thing. Of like, mountains. Rocky, spiky mountains. With lights on top.

Here's a remake of my very first digital painting. Well, I've already made one remake of it, so this is a remake of that remake. And I'll continue remaking this piece randomly as I keep doing what I do. It's an interesting thing to do and it really shows that you've improved in certain things. Like for an example, this one was made in only like, 30-40 minutes or something. And back then it would take me ages because I didn't know anything about workflow.

And uh, here's a side-by-side-by-side comparison of the other two versus this one!

I'm always too lazy to update this. Managing two other sites for this sort of stuff, so it's a bit-- time-consuming and frustrating. But uh, here are a few paintings that I've made!

Here's a quick one (25 minutes) that I made for a video. It's not that GRRRRAND, but it's alright.

This is just me testing out some new brushes that I downloaded. Great for painting! The brushes belong to Jonas De Ro's brush pack on deviantART. A big help.

And here's another painting that I made just today. With Jonas' brushes, yep! Surely brushes don't make you a better artist, but I feel more confident working with something that's more organized.
