Happy National Self Portrait Day!
Ok well technically in South Africa its the 2nd of November, but at least somewhere in the world its still the 1st. This is actually my first submission onto concept art, which makes for a nice symbol to look back upon as I grow as an artist with each year. And there are really inspiring and awesome self portraits on this thread.
First time this year, did the "Glance at the mirror beside you in a low lit room" method haha. Happy Self portrait day though [:

What a time to discover Painter X doesn't run on my new computer!
Used a bunch of layers and blurring of the same to bury some really weak painting under a simulation of what my studio mirror looks like with all the dust and finger prints on it.
Edit - -I guess I should mention I've been studying Drew Struzan again and the skin tones are really from his work --I'm pale as a ghost right now.
