A couple one page comics that need feedback

I am a sophomore in college and after a year of abstract painting and experimenting, I am returning to comics. These are the two most recent pages I have done and I haven't gotten much feedback from many people. These are hand drawn, hand inked, and colored digitally using GIMP 2.6 and a wacom bamboo tablet. I feel like these are fairly close to the tone and aesthetic that I was going for, but, there is always room for improvement. I would like to know your initial impressions to these pages, then, more specifically, what tone you get, how the art is working for you, what you think of the colors etc. Many thanks to all.

The narration is difficult to read.

yeah I could see that. Narration based on text or movement or both? how would you suggest clearing it up?

Yes I did mean the text itself. Right now its placement
Is being dictated too much by the alloted areas in each panel.
Combined with a lack of uniformed font it makes it hard to follow.

cool thank you. I actually put the text in before drawing anything in the thumbnails to try to avoid that but I will try to put a little more thought into placement. As for the font, I really like hand lettering and would like to continue doing it, it's gotten a lot better from when I started so I'll just keep practicing.

Yeah, I get that the font fits with the style of the comic, so just keep on working it.
