    Funky fresh Update

    Hi,

    Here's a sketch I did today,
I actually started modeling this guy in 3d first,
but decided I'd like to do some drawings of him.

I can see this sketchbook thing is going to get a little unwheeldy so maybe I'll try thumbnail links or somthing

Ok scanning really is a pain, I'll try to keep motivated.

So here are some sketches of faces I did from life: people walking by at a busy street corner, the bald guy is from a pic in a magazine, and the last is from the news paper. I'm trying to calm down with my pen and make fewer lines that say more, I know what i want it look like but its still a long way off.

Oh ya tell me if I should bother with this thumbnail business is it better to just post the images straight up. thanks

    nice stuff!

look into how to define muscles, now you just draw lines that resembles muscles, might wanna look at photos of musles or stuff to understand it better...

and think about overlapping forms... like a arm that is pointed towards you needs to be drawn in a specific way or it looks wrong...

cheers man and keep up the good work!

Those deer look a little heavy for their legs - but I love the expression you give to your faces. Keep going on the digital comps, they're showing a lot of cool ideas.

Hello Ham-e, and nice scetchbook you've got going on here! I love the perspective and sense of movement in those (deer)? pics. Your horse gestures are also suggesting some improvement. I would have to agree with Hurricane also. You should study specific parts of the antomy, how it works and its form. Don't stop those life drawing classes!
