    Daily Improvement Journal

    Aaaaayyyyy

This is my sketchbook. I'm 17, a junior, and an art school hopeful I'm a beginner, so critique me harshly because I really want to improve.

    Here's what I did today:

-WIP of a colored pencil drawing, about an hour in. First time I took my own reference photo
    -some gestures of my dog

I finished this yesterday but forgot to post. It looks horrible and I forgot to plan out the background, so this happened :| And my scanner cut off the bottom and right side. Are there any tricks to make the hands not look like wimpy sausages? I used my own for reference but they still came out all weird.

I need to do a drapery study. And hand studies. And a shit ton more studies.
And either learn more patience or try something besides colored pencils.
And I really need to go over the background.

I forgot to post anything yesterday, whoops.

I finally got some gesso to put on cardboard to paint with. I just layed down basic colors, and it's my second time using acrylics. It's so fucking fun omg
