Nice work, but I'd like to see more...
It is hard to tell if someone is getting better if they don't show some progression
on a time scale. Like something you did last year versus something this year that
is under the same context for comparison.

I look forward to your studies, I too will be starting some anatomy studies myself...

Sorry for the long period in between I've been busy juggling my school work and my job (don't worry though I've had plenty of time drawing during my geography classes)
heres one i did last night from "Figure Drawing design and invention" by Michael Hampton.

Nice stuff! Personally I'd suggest that you work more page filling and try to get a hold on some un-crumpled clean paper -but the studies themselves are good, keep posting!

Please take a look at my Sketchbook! <- Comments are highly appreciated and returned C:

    Nice start.
But always remember: If you really want to learn to draw you must do it every day and with a specific goal. Don't just doodling around. Unterstand what you're doing and make tons of life studies. You'll learn a lot from them.
    Keep it up.

Awesome ! But do more studies on human anathomy, especially for a person who wants to be an animator. Before you start doing stylize characters make sure you have learned the human anathomy pretty well and you can draw a normal human being without any hyperbolizations or making changes to the anathomy. Gottfried Bammes has some amazing books on the human anathomy. You can check them out. After you've learned the human anathomy you can start to learn how each part of the human body reacts to a certain movent and how the muscles bend and so on. Burne Hogarth has some really helpful literature on dynamic anathomy of the human body. But to really understand what is written in the book you must first learn the basics. Which are proportions > bones in the human body > muscles And also learn their functions.
I see you've done some drawings on the human body expressed as basic shapes, but before doing them learn the basic anathomy and learn it from a trusted source. Because there are people out there who post "tutorials" on anathomy and in most of the cases this is "the way they see" the anathomy not the way it is.
Uh and i almost forget, make sure you keep yourself away from copying comic characters, because most of them are stylize. If you still want to keep doing them try Stan Lee's book on how to draw in the Marvel way. It's really good and there are also some good explanations on human anathomy.
And most important of all DRAW A LOT !!! trust me the more you draw the better you get. Set yourself a limit and try to reach it. For example this week you draw 10 sheets of papper on the human head and 10 on the human anathomy . Oh and try to position the drawing in the middle of the sheet. Have fun and good luck !
    -Ivan

Nice start! I agree with what ivan4oto said about learning more anatomy. Besides the bammes book I also recommend Loomis's books, like ''figure drawing for all it's worth'' and " drawing the head and hands". You can get all his books for free here. Good luck!

The studies you're doing are good. It's always important to combine the physical (drawing) and science (studying) side of art. Which is what you're doing right now. So, study anatomy, how light hits certain things and so forth. Also, looking at some of your scribblings of faces, I could easily make an assumption that you're aiming for a more comic-ish-- cartoony type of art? Not sure why I'm mentioning that, as it isn't really relevant. Just tellin' that to myself, I guess! Either way, keep it up.

I'd say you're definitely getting better. You have a good sense of movement, and you're doing it the right way with all those studies. Good luck, and keep improving!
