    @kjylee, thanks so much! Colors are one of my stronger points I think, lots to work on though.

    First are 3 thumbs for deviantart's "scared stiff" contest... I'm not sure if any of them are any good though.
    Last one is just a fun thing with personal characters. I guess if I wrote a steamy gay romance novel it'd be the cover?

    a random smattering of various practicing things. I've been getting shooting pains in my right hand so I'm trying not to draw so much and give myself a break, but I keep finding myself drawing anyway...

    I love your fantastical pieces with the vibrant colors. I like how intricate they are, too. Your painting style is great, very flowing and smooth.

    @AJM, thanks so much! I need to do more fantasy-type stuff soon.

    I tried doing a landscape without referencing, although it's very similar to one in my last post. I realized I don't think I understand reflections very well.

    Nice colors, very calming. You'd think reflections would be pretty straightforward, haha.

    @AJM, thanks! You'd think so, but I've never paid attention to the way that reflections distort or where they appear in relation to the actual objects, so I need a little practice with them I think.
    @Saysengo, thanks, I'll try to do more character stuff soon. I always have a hard time with anatomy so I avoid it a little bit I think, oops.
    @Joakim @mikefongart, thanks so much!

    Today I just did fun doodles, and decided to try using some linework, which I haven't done in a long time. I didn't go far with any of them though.

    @kevin, thanks!

    here's some character doodles I did to work a little bit on anatomy. The first one is photoreferenced from Senshistock on DA.

    worked a while on this, still stuff I'm not happy with (the left guy's face is so awkward...), but it'll do for now.

    I got a process gif of it too! If it'll work.

    oops, it's been a while.
    The first one is just a doodle, I felt like doing something as "anime" as possible.
    The second one is just a study speedpaint... I got silly with the colors though.

    I tried out alchemy today, that was interesting, although my scribbling over it changed it so much it's unrecognizable...
